Technicraft!
Today we made a dutch apple cake and this is our recipe:
Ingredients:
- 100g butter
- 190g plain flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 200g caster sugar
- 1 egg
- 190g plain flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 apples - peeled, cored and each cut into quarters.
- 3 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Method:
- Heat oven to 180C and fan force to 180C.
- Cream the margarine and sugar together until light and fluffy. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with a fork and put it in another bowl.
- Mix the eggs, a little at a time. Sieve in the flour and baking powder.
- Spread the mixture into the cake tin.
- Get 1 apple and peel and core the apple and slice into quarters. Arrange the apple slices over the cake mix and then sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar on top.
- Place in the oven and bake for around 20 minutes, until golden brown and springy to the touch.
