Technicraft!

Today we made a dutch apple cake and this is our recipe:

Ingredients:
  • 100g butter
  • 190g plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 200g caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 190g plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 apples - peeled, cored and each cut into quarters.
  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Method:
  1. Heat oven to 180C and fan force to 180C.
  2. Cream the margarine and sugar together until light and fluffy. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with a fork and put it in another bowl.
  3. Mix the eggs, a little at a time. Sieve in the flour and baking powder.
  4. Spread the mixture into the cake tin.
  5. Get 1 apple and peel and core the apple and slice into quarters. Arrange the apple slices over the cake mix and then sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar on top.
  6. Place in the oven and bake for around 20 minutes, until golden brown and springy to the touch.
