Technicraft Week 6

Today we have cooked tacos with coleslaw. Inside it had a cooked mince with taco sauce, and coleslaw if you wanted. We ate the tacos and coleslaw at Pakuranga Intermediate School. When we had completed our cooking and delicious meal, we had to write out what we are going to cook next week, which is bread rolls.

Ingredients for bread roll:

1. In a large bowl, stir together warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.
2. To the yeast mixture, add the oil, salt, and 2 cups flour.
3. Deflate the dough, and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface.
4. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.

I can't wait!

Technicraft

Today we had a powhiri which welcomed the year 7’s from Panmure District school and Saint Patrick’s school. One of the our year 8 from our school (Saint Patrick’s school) performed a speech of saying thank you to all the teachers and students that welcomed us. We are glad and appreciated by the work they have did for us.

When the powhiri finished we went back to class and start making our designing brief we started last week (apple sauce). After we make the delicious apple sauce. We started listing what kind of we are going to make. My partner and Ace picked (banana loaf).

Here is our recipe:

• 1¾ cups Edmonds self-raising flour
• ¼ tsp Edmonds baking soda
• ¼ tsp salt
• ½ cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• ¼ cup milk
• 75g butter, melted
• 1 cup mashed banana
